If you have found yourself here, welcome. Arney’s Corner is the part of my site where I get to geek out about the things I love that aren’t necessarily tied to my work. This mainly consists of games, books and literature, music, and more. But this may well extend to any hyper-fixations I have at any given time. Think of this as the lighter side of my creative life, and the place I can be the true nerd I am.
I don’t envision this space a review hub or a place to hand out curated “top tens.” It is more a walk through my lounge room full of the media and leisure that I indulge in, and in turn, shapes who I am. Some things will be new, others old, some strange, some conforming. Alas, it all matters to me in one way or another.
Arney’s Corner also has its own YouTube channel, where I talk through these interests more intimately, in a way that is conversational and hopefully, creates a desire to engage. This page, and the channel, are two sides of the same coin and complement each other. The former, is likely to be more structured and written with clarity, with the latter lending itself to the more chaotic and unstructured and passionate side of my mind. Both however, express my enjoyment in my interests.
If you’re into games, books, music, or just looking to expand into these amazing activities, you are in the right place. I’ll be updating this corner as I go, adding my thoughts, favourites, discoveries, and the occasional deep dive into my passions.
