I’m Andrew Arney — a writer, engineer, mentor, and maker. often finding myself exploring clarity, craft, and meaning through every project.
My work blends technical precision with poetic clarity. Whether I’m designing a physical object, documenting a process, or mentoring others, I approach each task as part of a larger exploration, and one with curiosity that values structure, intention, and quiet resonance.
I design and build practical, beautiful objects, often from reclaimed or recycled materials, documenting each project with care, sharing logs, guides, and reflections that trace both the process and the thinking behind it. I write poetry and essays that explore the same themes: clarity, iteration, and personal symbolism.
This site is a living archive of my work. It is a place to explore builds, writings, and ongoing experiments. It’s also a space to share what I’ve learned and to connect with others who value thoughtful craft.
I believe in making things that matter. Doing it slowly, deliberately, and with care, much like the gifted artisans before us.
